It is a process of evaluating conditions and organization which provides a safe airport experience in line with the recommended health measures established in the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines. This program is designed to help reassure the travelling public that airport facilities remain safe and that precautions are being taken to reduce any risk to their health. The program was developed in line with the ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force Recommendations, along with industry’s best practices.
After reviewing the evidence presented through the evaluation process, International Zagreb Airport has shown that it provides a safe airport experience for all travelers and earned ACI’s Airport Health Accreditation for the next 12 months.
“We are extremely proud of the high achievement in the demanding process of evaluating all health safety measures against COVID-19 infection implemented at Franjo Tuđman Airport. With the “safe airport in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic” certificate, among the first airports in Europe, we have proven our commitment to protecting the health of passengers, employees and all users of our services, which is a precondition for the gradual recovery of the airport traffic”- said Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, President of the International Zagreb Airport Management.
