T’Way Air Sparks Zagreb’s Aviation Renaissance: New Route Set to Amplify Airport’s Growth

T’Way Air’s Resumption of Flights Between South Korea and Croatia Expected to Propel Zagreb Airport’s Surge in Passenger Traffic

T’Way Air is gearing up to restore the vital air link between Seoul and Zagreb, with plans for three weekly rotations using its 347-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Zagreb Airport, already experiencing robust growth from 3.73 million in 2023 to an anticipated 4.2 million passengers this year, anticipates further acceleration with T’Way Air’s service.

The airline’s strategic entry into the Zagreb market not only underscores its commitment to tapping into emerging markets but also opens doors for Croatian travelers seeking to explore South Korea and beyond. As Croatian tourists venture into Asia, T’Way Air’s presence paves the way for cultural exchange and economic growth. T’Way Air’s imminent launch of the Seoul-Zagreb route signals a new era of connectivity and collaboration, solidifying Zagreb Airport’s role as a pivotal gateway between Europe and Asia.

Notably, amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic, Zagreb Airport has stood out for its impressive recovery, achieving the highest recovery rate among European airports in terms of pre and post-COVID passenger levels. Remarkably, the airport even surpassed its previous record year of 2019 in terms of passenger numbers in 2023, while january and february of 2024 was up by 17,64 % compared to the previous record in 2023.

The airport was recently awarded with the “Easiest Airport Journey Award” by the Airport Council International at the yearly ASQ (Airport Service Quality) awards event.
