Ryanair Reacts to Record Zagreb Airport Numbers with Enhanced Operations!

Ryanair has announced notable enhancements to its operations in Zagreb. Due to overwhelming demand, Ryanair will be increasing the frequency and extending the duration of its services on select routes. Commencing on April 1, Ryanair’s new flight between Girona, Spain, and Zagreb will now operate three times weekly, up from the initial two, until the end of the summer season in late October. Similarly, the launch of Ryanair’s seasonal route between Thessaloniki and Sarajevo, scheduled for July 3, will see an extension of service until September 29, running twice per week instead of the previously planned conclusion on August 28.

These adjustments are in response to the remarkable success and high demand experienced on the mentioned routes, with flights being consistently sold out. The surge in passenger numbers at Zagreb Airport, which has seen a remarkable 17.64% increase in January and February compared to the same period last year, is further evidence of this burgeoning demand. This growth trajectory surpasses the previous record set in 2023, highlighting the ongoing acceleration in passenger traffic.
