Zagreb Airport Braces for Passenger Surge Amidst Parking Shortage Concerns
Croatia Airlines is gearing up for a substantial surge in passenger traffic at Zagreb Airport with the expansion of its summer flight offerings. 3 new routes to Berlin, Stockholm, and Tirana are poised to significantly boost traveler numbers, highlighting the airline’s crucial role in the region’s aviation landscape.
As the summer season approaches, set to commence on March 31, the airline foresees a considerable increase in passengers. However, despite the airport’s new terminal being equipped to handle 8 million passengers, its parking facilities fall short. With only 800 parking spaces available, the airport is anticipated to struggle to accommodate the projected 4 million passengers expected in 2024.
Despite these challenges, Croatia Airlines remains committed to providing extensive international and domestic connectivity from Zagreb.
